The Wizard of Oz Production

Fun Event THIS WEEKEND! Premier Performance, a local, professional performing arts studio will present their fproduction of The Wizard of Oz (Young Performer's Edition) at Canterbury Summer Theatre in Michigan City.  This is not your average children's theater production.  Students are trained by professional music theater performers and are taught proper stage techniques while building valuable life skills like teamwork and responsibility. December 9th @ 12-3pm  

A traditional Swedish Christmas will be presented at the national lakeshore's Chellberg Farm, December 9th, 12-3 pm. In the farm house, volunteers in traditional dress will explain the Swedish holiday customs,decorations on display and present Santa Lucia and her story while Jul Tomte (Santa) listens to children's wishes in the parlor. Learn how Santa Lucia legend is celebrated in many Swedish  households. Finish with a tour of the kitchen to see the various Swedish foods of the holiday season and you will be given a holiday cookie.
