"Race for the Kids" Release Party - April 11th - Shady Creek Winery

! Back this year is the Race for the Kids! Reins has created five teams; each consisting of Reins of Life rider, horse, volunteer, a Reins Staff member and community partner. Each team will work together to gather as many votes as possible to WIN the 2019 ROL Race for the Kids though the on-line voting system! Voting begins April 11th at 3:00 pm with a “kick-off” party at Shady Creek Winery from 4-6PM CDT. Voting will last through May 3rd 8:00 pm with winner announced and awards given during the Kentucky Derby Celebration. The Kentucky Derby Celebration on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at the Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa will be filled with derby atmosphere, dresses, dapper attire, and of course a hat competition! The party boasts with incredible gourmet dining stations, complimentary mint juleps, LIVE and silent auctions, Raffle Tickets, a derby-themed photo booth, inspiring rider stories, LIVE music and dance! The celebration starts at 6:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm CDT. The first hour is a cocktail and silent auction - opened through the evening. Then we will have program and dancing party. During the program, starting at 7:15 pm we will have updates from 2018, short videos with two riders featured (one from South Bend and one from Michigan City) followed by their testimonies. We will also have couple drawings (hat and tails), 3-5 verbal auction items and announcement of the Race Winner.
