Chamber Profile
Nestled in the heart of the Indiana Dunes on the southern shore of Lake Michigan lies the Duneland community. Comprised of the five unique towns of Beverly Shores, Burns Harbor, Chesterton, Dune Acres and Porter, this area offers dynamic natural beauty, warm hospitality and plenty of opportunities to enjoy meaningful ecological, educational and cultural experiences.
The Duneland Chamber of Commerce serves over 475 members and holds as its main objective the facilitation of the interests of the Duneland community. By hosting more than 100 community and networking events each year, producing a quarterly magazine and offering the prolific Residential Welcome Bag Program, the Chamber seeks to enrich the lives of area residents and ensure the economic vitality of our Duneland community.
Initiatives such as Chesterton's European Market, Hatta Girl, Hometown Holiday Celebration, Chamber Network Night, Annual Golf Outing and business seminars provide a wealth of community building and networking opportunities for both Chamber and community members. These events are augmented by the Chamber's commitment to smart, sustainable economic growth and community cohesion.
In addition to a varied palette of events and programming, the Duneland Chamber of Commerce offers its members a robust package of advertising opportunities, including a new double-sided electronic billboard located at the gateway to Chesterton along Highway 49. Architecturally reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts movement of the turn of the last century, the Chamber's Welcome Sign is not only an attractive advertising opportunity for Chamber members, but also a beautiful greeting for tourists entering Duneland.
