Westchester Public Library will begin their weekly outdoor Bandstand Concert & Family Film Series starting on Friday, June 8 and will run through Friday, August 3. Music entertainment begins at 7 p.m. followed by a family-friendly film at dusk around 8 p.m. The Concert & Family Film Series will take place on Fridays, June 8 & August 3 at Hawthorne Millennium Park, 500 Ackerman Drive in Porter, and June 15, 22, 29, July 6, 13, 20 & 27 at the Thomas Centennial Park Gazebo in Chesterton.
Those who attend these events are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnics and bug spray. In the event of rain, the concert and films will take place in the Baugher Center, 100 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton. All Hawthorne Park rainouts will be held in the Community Building at Hawthorne Park, Porter. This series is funded in part by the Chesterton-Porter Rotary Club. Library concerts are free and open to the public.
